When I first met my husband, he told me about Alcala's and how it is his favorite western store while he lived in Chicago. When we made plans to visit Round Lake Beach for a wedding, this place was our #1 place to visit. The staff is super friendly! The gentleman who cleans and shapes the hats was out on vacation - we don't blame him at all because we were on vacation as well! But the lady who helped my husband pick out his Tejanas was helpful and super sweet. She even cleaned our new hats. Love mine! And we all know my husband loves his!! Definitely recommend this store! The parking was extremely helpful.

Great store with a great range of goods and western wear. I'm no cowboy, but I enjoyed trying on the hats, belts, and outer wear. They have beautiful blankets, and flannel jackets. It's definitely worth checking out. Street parking is easy.

Comrade helps us find the best fit for our first boot. Even helped us with the different animal hide options. Their men’s selection was really nice! They offer $8 cleaning so we can bring in our Alcala boots when they need a cleaning. Overall I great place to start your western wear journey or Halloween costume.

I have been walking past, trick or treating at, and dreaming of riding the horse outside since i was a kid and lived in the area. Finally last weekend for my Birthday I went in to get my birthday outfit together. This place did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They were super accommodating ensuring to find the right boots for me and my friend. They took the time to not only inform us of the boots but also their care and how to put them on with the least amount of strain on the back. My friend was able to get his boots on sale for a good deal. Was also to pick up a hat on sale myself. Truly a neighborhood institution and world class customer service. I will definitely be back!

Some of the best service in Chicago! Awesome atmosphere and good selection of clothing. Only I wish they had more original style boots with leather soles. Staff was super friendly & helpful. Would definitely go again!

Unbelievable place! Such an atmosphere. This store has served clients for more than 50 years! Anyone can find cool stuff for themselves. Leather belts, wallets, boots and much more! Wow.
